Located deep in the heart of the legendary Selkirk Mountains, we invite you to come and be professionally guided through a diverse and engaging mix of big mountain terrain.

Our tenure is six times the size of Whistler and Blackcomb combined, offering seasoned skiers a hearty selection of high alpine bowls, steep, old-growth forests, and endless, untracked Kootenay powder all day long. Expect zero line ups, and the sweetest, deepest, white gold, you will ever have the good fortune to sink into.

Snow in the Valhalla's is legendary in consistency, quantity and lightness. We typically receive over 450' of snowfall each winter and maintain a base between 8' to 12'. The elevation and favorable local temperatures keep our snow dry and light late into the season. Our snow cats drive right into the alpine accessing over 21,000 acres of consistent, uninterrupted fall line skiing. That means there's always somewhere good to ride. We offer such a variety of unique terrain that even the most well-travelled skiers and riders find it hard to compare with any place they've been before.

A part of the Selkirk Mountains, the Valhalla's boast massive granite mountains supporting lush forests of ancient white pine, larch, red cedar and western hemlock, roaring rivers, waterfalls and abundant wildlife. More importantly, in the Valhalla's snow quality and quantity is like none other on earth!

We use two snow cats in our 21,500 acres of terrain each carrying 12 guests and 2 guides. Regardless of weather, the snow cats allow us to ride limitless fresh lines all day - everyday.

We typically clock 7 to 13 runs or 13,000 to 18,000 ft of vertical per day. Runs vary from 1200 - 3000 ft, taking advantage of the best snow and fun factor available on the mountain each day. Rides up in our comfortable, heated snow cats vary from 5 to 30 minutes - just long enough to laugh, enjoy the music and our plentiful homemade lunches, snacks and hot or cold beverages. Our runs are consistent, uninterrupted fall line descents welcoming to both skiers and riders. As we cater strictly to stronger skiers and riders - our groups turn out to be very compatible on the mountain.

Our friendly and energetic guides are highly experienced and professionally trained. They are all avid skiers or riders who know where to find the best lines each day. You will be trained in backcountry safety and avalanche beacon use prior to your first day. You will be expected to work as team for both safety and to maximize our skiing potential each day.

We adhere to industry standards and hire only competent, certified, professionals with years of relevant experience. All of our staff under go rigorous annual training procedures. As a result, our safety record is impeccable. Our friendly guides are all AMCG and/or CSGA certified professionals, trained and current in methods of snow safety, weather analysis, emergency medical techniques and ski guiding. Early each morning, our guides meet to evaluate weather conditions, snow stability and terrain based on field observations and external industry data.

Your skiing or riding skills should allow you to ski most expert trails at ski areas in a variety of snow conditions without falling. This is wilderness skiing which means snow conditions vary from day-to-day and storm-to-storm. There are no groomed runs so you must be comfortable with traversing and skiing or riding in all types of snow including powder or its less forgiving variations. We are looking for keen skiers and boarders that want to ride all day long.
